Arlington, TX (KETK) — The man known as "America's Most Lethal Sniper", Chris Kyle, was remembered at Cowboys Stadium on Monday.
Thousands attended the service honoring the life and sacrifice of the former Navy SEAL and author who was killed last week at a central Texas gun range.
Military and law enforcement officials from across the region have been working with Kyle's family to make the memorial service a lasting tribute.
You can view a clip of the services in the video above.
“Chris Kyle was the public face of an anonymous breed of American warrior who are handed the hardest missions and assume the largest risks," Governor Rick Perry said.
"Chris was among the very best at what he did, and he saved countless American lives in the process. Our state and our nation suffered a profound loss with his passing. I am honored to have known Chris and to have called him my friend. Anita and I send our deepest condolences to his wife, Taya, his children and the thousands of service members that were his extended family.”
