Tyler, TX — Some Smith County voters are having trouble with Proposition 1 and 2 on this year's ballot. Elections Administrator, Karen Nelson, tells KETK by law she cannot explain the ballot to voters while they are voting. She tells voters to simply put the word "for" in front of the sentence and then the word "against" in front of the sentence to help clarify. However, you can review the ballot prior to voting on the Smith County website by clicking the sample ballot tab and clicking on Pct. 3.
