Walking trail makeover

Longview—One of Longview’s many walking trails is getting a makeover.
The city will extend the Paul Boorman trail from Fairmont Street N. to Loop 281.
Trail construction will close a part of H. G. Mosley from Bill Owens Parkway to Fountain Place toward the end of October.
It will be closed for about 45 days so crews can complete an underground walkway.
One trail walker we spoke with says he thinks the extension is a great thing.
The trail extension was approved in a capital improvements project back in 2007.
It is scheduled for completion by 2010.
