Was a U.S. Border Patrol agent justified in shooting a teenage Mexican boy?

Mexico has condemned the shooting of a 15-year-old boy by a U.S. Border Patrol agent along the border
between El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
Some Mexican politicians are calling for the agent to be sent to Mexico to face justice there.
The agent said it was in self-defense, as the kids were throwing rocks at him (rocks are considered a deadly weapon).
Fox News is reporting the boy was a well-known juvenile smuggler in Mexico.
Did a border agent act rashly when he shot a Mexican boy throwing rocks at him?

The agent had ever right to shoot people who are threating him and his fellow agents. My only concern is that with the Obama administration because of the Arizona law and their outspoken dislike of Arizona and the support of more Mexicans coming here he will not get a fair hearing from our justice department. We have seen this before.

Every news or newspaper article about which I had had first-hand knowledge has borne little resemblance to the facts, so I do not feel anyone knows enough about what really went on...I withhold judgment at this point.
No one can justify the killing of another person solely based on status and ‘immigration status’. That is ludicrous. But add to that that “sticks and stones may break my bones, but I have I gun so now I’m gonna kill you”..it just does not add up.
You should know that the velocity of ‘a bullet being shot’ and ‘a thrown rock’ cannot be compared, that is a given. Simply prejudice at its best! Burglar in custody w/ accomplices, c'mon the guy was meters away. Was he a Shot Put champion?

The Border Patrol Agent had the right to protect himself. A rock can kill just like a bullet. The illegal should have been on his side of the border and not on our side committing a crime. We have a border and Border Patrol for a reason.
The agent should not go to Mexico to face justice. Justice has been served. If they do not like they way they are treated, stay in your own country.

If this illegal was such a threat and he was so close to do harm with a rock why was he not arrestd...If he was a most wanted smuggler then someone was NOT doing there job he could have been caught if they were watching like they are supposed to be.
Would there be any question about this agent's actions if he had been taking a burglar or a robber into custody and then been attacked by an accomplice with something considered a deadly weapon?
The answer is NO; and only the existence of the open-borders agenda causes this action to be called in question. The open-borders traitors want to create a new victim class to justify more illegal immigration!!!!

The Agent was justified. It is common sense don't throw rocks at people with guns. Oh and stay on your side of the fence. If we wanted you here we would open the gates, but thats not happening.

The agent was well within his rights to protect himself and the other agents when they were attacked by these hoodlums with rocks.
Mexico is only angry because they don't like the Arizona law and they see more and more Americans starting to take notice of just how many illegals are in the U.S. They can see their funnel of money drying up once more laws just as the one in Arizona are enacted. They are running scared. Americans are tapped out.
Time Mexico takes care of their own.
