Was the moderator out of line?

Candy Crowley makes headlines and upsets many
TYLER — The discussion was on Libya.
The president was on the offensive because he's been criticized for having not declared it a terrorist attack for awhile...instead blaming it on an anti-Islamic YouTube video.
Last night, the president said that he did in fact call it a terrorist act shortly after it happened in a White House rose garden speech.
Romney called him out on that...
Obama told him to get the transcript...
And in a slightly awkward moment, moderator Candy Crowley took up for president Obama...saying yes, he did call it a terrorist act.
This resulted in applause from the audience...something that insulted many Americans...including Smith County Republican party chair Ashton Oravetz.
"The good point is I actually think she helped Romney by doing this because now what we're talking about and everything, you see it online and everybody's talking about this and it becomes this huge emphasis," Oravetz said.
And the reason everyone is still talking about it is because even Crowley herself admitted that Romney was mostly right!
Obama's exact words were "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for."
It's a statement many feel was said generically...because this was during the same time that he was blaming the video for the attack.
