Waskom storm damages homes and topples trees, but no injuries reported
Waskom — A powerful storm packing 60 mph winds and producing a possible tornado tore through southeastern Harrison County on Thursday afternoon, causing widespread damage.
The storm hit about 2:30 p.m., snapping ancient oaks, twisting metal from warehouses and damaging buildings and vehicles.
Unlike the deadly tornado that devastated Granbury in North Texas on Wednesday night, the storm that walloped Waskom came and went with no reported injuries.
