A&E's "Duck Dynasty" may be one of the biggest reality TV successes in recent memory, but one of the stars said he and his famously wild beard have been victims of "facial profiling."

The Louisiana-based star, Jase Robertson, was in New York with his family this week promoting the fourth season of the series when, he said, an employee at the Trump International Hotel -- where he was staying -- kicked him out after mistaking him for a homeless man.

"I think it was a facial profiling deal," Robertson joked while recounting the incident on "Live with Kelly and Michael" this week.

"I asked where the bathroom was, and he said, 'Right this way, sir.' He was very nice," Robertson said. "He walked me outside, pointed down the road and said, 'Good luck. Have a good day.'"

"He just didn't know," Robertson said, confirming that, despite the incident, he and his family decided to stay at the hotel.

Wednesday's season premiere of "Duck Dynasty" drew nearly 12-million viewers to become the "No. 1 nonfiction series telecast in cable history," according to A&E.

You wouldn't know funny light-hearted comedy if it bit you on your Suzuki-riding fanny, would you!! This is a good Christian family that enjoys poking fun at and about themselves, does no harm to anyone, and has way more $ than you'll ever see. Would suspect you judge on outward appearances before getting to know the person in front of you, but also suspect that others can figure you out before you even open your mouth. Bitterness, hatred, and an inflated ego are real easy to spot, 'rider.

Wow, just what is your problem Jack, looks to me like you are the one full of hatred, why don't you knock that chip off your shoulder and go watch cartoons & calm down. I never said anything about them or the show I just said "I can't imagine why", and like ZZ Top and Willie Nelson if you did not know who they were you just might figure they were homeless people as none of them dress in fancy clothes or anything, so why don't you start practicing what you preach for a change.

I can't imagine why.
