Nebraska high school principal cancels 'Pledge of Allegiance' during government shutdown
Nebraska (KETK) — According to TheBlaze.com, a Nebraska high school principal who canceled the reciting of the "Pledge of Allegiance" during the government without administrative approval is facing disciplinary charges by the school.
District superintendent Troy Unzicker said he is currently in the process of investigating and considering taking action against Alliance High School principal Patrick Jones for his actions/
TheBlaze states Unzicker is a veteran and it is school policy to recite the pledge daily and he expects it to be done.
Unzicker also told the website Jones said his actions were 'aimed at inspiring conversation among the roughly 500 students in the school.'
