The child then drove his grandfather’s vehicle south on Fleishel Ave. and west on 5th St. where he was noticed by the caller. The caller attempted to get the child to pullover, but the child continued to drive the vehicle north on Broadway Ave.

After several attempts by the caller to get the child to stop the child turned the vehicle into the Discovery Science Center parking lot where the vehicle came to rest after striking a metal guard fence. The Discovery Science Center building was not struck, but the guard fence and vehicle did sustaining minor damage.

No one, including the child, was injured during this incident. The child was later released back into his grandfather’s custody and no charges are being filed.
