West Nile virus death reported in Panola County

Panola County, tx — Panola County has reported its first fatality in connection with the deadly West Nile virus, According to the Department of State Health Services.
Panola County has experienced a total of two confirmed cases.
Gregg County is the only other county to report a death -- one -- related to West Nile.
Statewide, 34 people have been killed and 894 have been diagnosed with the virus.
