What to do when you get the Flu
October 11, 2009 - 8:50pm
TYLER - The chills, the fever, the body aches.
Swine or seasonal, you've come down with the flu.
Now what do you do?
Over-the-counter fever reducers like Tylenol and Motrin can help during the worst of the bug, and anti-virals like Tamiflu can help in severe cases, or for people who are at risk for complications, like people with asthma or pregnant women.
What will "not" help you "if" you have a bad cold or flu are antibiotics.
Antibiotics treat bacterial infections only.
Colds and flu are viral infections.
