Students in White Oak are raising money for a special cause.

One that hits close to home for many of them.

The White Oak high school student council hosted a powder puff football game for one elementary teacher suffering from stage four renal cancer.

Dinah Morgan was diagnosed with cancer in August.

"When she was getting her room ready, she had a seizure she didn't even know she had it stage four renal cancer they found in her brain and kidney," said close friend Kim Taylor.

"Dinah and I grew up together. We were in the band at Pine Tree her mom was our high school counselor so I've known them for a long time," said Taylor.

Taylor and students from her student council decided to hold a benefit powder puff football game to raise money for the elementary school teacher and her family.

"It's our off week for football so just kind of wanted to bring football back in this week and we're just going to play the reverse rolls."

The girls suited up in football gear.

While the boys wore cheerleading outfits.

"It's a little embarrassing but fun at the same time," said sophomore Paul Green.

Everyone was happy they had the opportunity to help a neighbor in need.

"It's exciting to be part of a really like helping community that's got everyone's back," said senior Joy Loman.

"Just anywhere we find a hurt or a need we always want to fill that because everyone is part of White Oak. It's just a big community we love everybody," said senior Josh Benson.

They hope they can raise a few thousand dollars for the Morgan family.
