White Oak ISD takes Class 2A UIL Lone Star Cup

White Oak Independent School District has won the Class 2A Lone Star Cup, which honors the school with the best overall academic, athletic and fine arts programs in the state.
According to the University Interscholastic League, the Lone Star Cup is awarded annually to five high schools, one in each of the five UIL classifications (1A to 5A), based on their team performance in district and state championships. Standings include state and area marching band, team tennis, cross country, volleyball, football, swimming and diving, wrestling, girls basketball, boys basketball, soccer, golf, track and field, academics, one-act play, softball and baseball.
