Longview, TX —

White Oak ISD Superintendent Mike Gilbert said Thursday that his district, like several others in the area, has passed a resolution asking legislators to revisit state-mandated testing and the public school accountability system.
The resolution comes days before students begin taking the new mandated State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, which is replacing the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.
