White Oak's playoff opener goes into overtime

Tyler — White Oak has won two straight state championships.
The Roughnecks started their road to a possible three-peat in Tyler.
White Oak opened the state playoffs Tuesday night against Troup at Wagstaff Gym on the campus of Tyler Junior College.
Troup was looking for the upset. The Tigers led late in regulation.
But White Oak's Landry Sheridan scored with just two seconds left to force overtime.
In overtime, Cass Carr scored 15 of the Roughnecks' 17 points.
White Oak won, 64-53.
Longview won its first playoff game in five years.
The Lobos dominated Rowlett, 75-57.
Kilgore clobbered Van, 59-27.
John Tyler's season came to an end.
Mansfield Lake Ridge beat the Lions, 53-38.
Whitehouse held on to beat Arlington Seguin, 67-62.
