HOUSTON (AP) -Democratic gubernatorial candidate Bill White says Republican Gov. Rick Perry is disrespecting Texas voters by refusing to debate him.
White continued to criticize Perry for not agreeing to debate him during a news conference in Houston on Wednesday, the deadline Perry gave the former Houston mayor to release all of his tax returns for the years he's been in public service.
Perry has said that unless White releases all of these financial documents, he won't square off with White in a televised debate.
White claimed he's released detailed information about his finances while Perry has not been forthright with information that shows his debts or assets.
Perry, who has said he has a duty as governor to confront White over missing tax records, was making a campaign stop in Houston later Wednesday.
