Whitehouse, TX — He's the head coach of a winning team....and it's his last season as a coach at Whitehouse High School.
The community rallied at Whitehouse City Park on Thursday evening to show support for an irreplacable coach.

Head Coach Randy McFarlin is the winning coach in Whitehouse football history. Besides this season being another season of victory…  it will also an emotional one.

Head coach, Randy McFarlin, has coached the "Wildcats" since 2004, and led the team with six consecutive years in the playoffs, back to back- 10 wins.

It was at a school board meeting in February. When he learned that the board decided not to renew his two-year contract after the 2012 football season. The board wants to go in a different direction.the news hit the team really hard.

November 28th 2010, Coach McFarlin was critically injured in a collision, suffering multiple internal  injuries, fractured ribs and a fractured pelvis.

The community prayed for his recovery. He recovered and returned to work February 13th and coached the 2011 season.

Shirts were printed, people signed a petition that will be given to the board to hopefully to get McFarlin on the sideline next season. Coach McFarlin stopped by to thank supporters and chose not to comment on camera.

"It's not about me... it's about the Whitehouse athletic program," says Coach McFarlin.

It will be a rough and emotional season for the Wildcats, knowing their coach and mentor will not be there for them on the field and off the field for the 2013 football season.
