Whitehouse hires current O.C. Adam Cook as new head coach

It's official, the new head coach of the Whitehouse Wildcats will be one of their current coaches.

In a unanimous decisions, the Whitehouse School Board named current offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Adam Cook as the new head coach.

Cook will take over for Randy McFarlin, who, although he was the most successful coach in school history, was not given a contract extension.

Coach McFarlin tells KETK he has still never been given a straight forward reason why he was not renewed, and school officials tell KETK they do not make public comments concerning contract situations with staff.

The school board met in executive session for nearly four hours, before returning and naming Cook for the position.

Cook tells KETK he is excited for the upcoming season, and looks forward to now high demands for Whitehouse football.
