Who do you blame America's financial mess on? The Obama Administration? Or do you think decisions made by The Bush Administration started all the economic turmoil?

Everyone that has posted thus far, has made reference to either greed, or kickbacks etc. But you know really, who is responsible for this and other problems in our society to day? It is you and I, we are the ones that have allowed these things to happen. Our society has become a society of me, me, me, what can you do for me, what can I get out of this, oh, who cares as long as it does not effect me. This mentality that has come to be accepted everyday is what has contributed to alot of the issues this country has, or to say, I am but one person, what can I do? The last time I checked the constitution was still of a government for the people and by the people. Take responsibility for your own actions, or the lack there of, and I promise you, this country could be turned back around and we wouldn't have to sit here and point fingers, and have blogs like this. Just a Thought!

2 months agoTo find the roots of our current economic problems you must go back to WWII. When we came out of WWII we wanted everything. The crisis started with the buy-now-pay-later mind set. The money people exploited this fact. Big business went to town giving credit, sometimes to people that were not responsable. We never trained the young how to handdle credit and as the amount of failed loans grew so did the credit crisis. Now the bad debit is larger than the good debit we are experinsing a cascading failure of banks.
the only crorection is to go back to pay-as-you-go for every one including the government.

Over the last several years senator Chris Dodd and yep you guessed it Barak Obama have taken more kick back money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any body....follow the money trail....When the lobby perks are taken out of politics and we have term limits across the board we will begin to see change...

2 months agoFDR started this mess with social security.
The democrats; specifically Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Charles Schumer, were responsible for corrupting the Community Reinvestment Act to the point that it became a way to funnel "loans" to minorities that none of these above-mentioned expected would ever be paid back.
It was their way to continue to have minorities dependent on the "gubbimint" so their votes would stay bought. And it worked wonderfully well this past year and that is a big reason we are in this financial cesspool.
When Frank and the democrats successfully prevented Bush and the Republicans from reining in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac through the first years of this decade; the die was cast!
If the following video link works; check out Treasury Secretary Snow testifying to congress about this very issue:

That should make it clear to all whom to blame!!!

2 months agoAs far as I'm concerned, it is BIG government and greedy people in government whether they are beaurocrats or elected officials that have caused the problems. Get back to Consitutional law and operate under "Natural Law" (God's Law).
