That is, until Twitter. For whatever reason, this website is bucking the trend.

Young people do "tweet," but adults are really driving the bus.

We talked with some students at the University of Texas at Tyler. For the most part, they say they're not too interested. Students said they didn't want people to know quite that much about their business.

But business is exactly what Texas Author Jill S. Alexander wants people to know about. Alexander just celebrated the release of her new book, The Sweetheart of Prosper County.

She uses Twitter to promote her product.

Alexander says, "I think it's a great tool for business. I think it's a great way to build a follwing for your business... a great way to keep people updated."

We searched online, and found that a lot of businesses use Twitter for marketing.

If you're a little technologically timid, Alexander says it's easy to create your own account.
