Fighting for court for bail

LONDON - The Associated Press reports--

A judge is set to decide whether WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will be freed or remain in prison.  Authorities are appealing a court's decision to grant him bail.

Assange has been in prison since December 7th, following his surrender to British police over a Swedish sex-crimes warrant.  He denies wrongdoing but is refusing to surrender to Sweden's request to extradite him for questioning.

Assange was granted a conditional release an amount totaling $316,000 (American) bail Tuesday.
