"Surreal" is the best way Taylor Perkins and Michael Tashnick describe their new set of wheels. "Its old and it's used, but it still looks fantastic," said Perkins. These life-long friends invested more than $80,000 to keep this iconic bus in the lone star state. "Being Willie fans, and growing up with Willie as we have, having so much connection with Willie nelson in Austin, Texas, and what he's done for the community here, we felt we could take this bus and create a rolling montage of Willie nelson and the family," said Perkins.

They said they were skeptical of the condition of the bus at first. However, when they pulled up to see it, they said they knew they made the right decision. "When the bus rolls up and you see it, its so big, larger than life, um also its really recognizable," said Tashnick. He also added, "he took really good care of the bus, which is really great for us as the next owners."

After residing in Whitehouse for the past four years, and even stopping by the KETK station, the owner put it up for sale on Craig's List. Perkins said they saw it, and "when the opportunity came up for the bus we both felt compelled to take a run at it." They plan on renting it out for weddings, birthday parties, and as a shuttle. They're also planning to contribute to farm-aid, something they say is special to Willie. "With every rental we do, to kind of memorialize how much Willie has given back in his lifetime to people and places around the nation, and the world," said Perkins.

These Austin entrepreneurs plan to turn this piece of musical history into a tribute on wheels. "We just see this bus rolling down the road for a long time, and getting better and better, and a lot of fans and musicians, and to utilize it for a long time and be a part of the history," said Tashnick.
