Woman killed, two people injured in wreck in Huntington

Huntington, TX — A woman was killed and at least two people were injured in a wreck in front of the Dairy Queen in Huntington a little after 8 a.m. today.
Emergency personnel are still on the scene of the accident, which involved a maroon/brown Chevrolet Silverado and a blue Kia Forte.
A passenger of the Forte died in the accident; she was a Pennsylvania woman visiting a Zavalla woman who was driving the car, according to Huntington Police Chief Bobby Epperly. The Zavalla woman was taken to a Lufkin hospital but was expected to be transported by medical ambulance to another facility.
The Silverado was driven by a man who had to be extricated from his vehicle.
