ADVERTISMENT
Workshop will be offered for East Texas service contractors March 28

The Kilgore College Small Business Development Center and Kilgore Economic Development Corporation will host a one-day pricing seminar for East Texas service contractors.
The workshop, “How to Price Jobs Effectively: Pricing 101 for All Service Contractors,” is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Synergy Park Training Facility, located at 1001 Synergy Blvd., Suite 100 in Kilgore.
The fee is $225 and includes catered lunch provided by KEDC.
“This workshop is extremely vital for anyone in the plumbing, HVAC, electrical or any contracting field,” said Melanie Northcutt, KCSBDC Training Coordinator. “If you want to double your digit profits, you must be priced correctly to cover the costs of overhead and sales.”
The class will teach contractors how to position themselves according to the market, develop flat rate pricing schemes for their service departments, implement variable multiplier systems for selling parts, properly estimate new work and replace quotes.
“Pricing for your company should be developed and reviewed every six months. Remember, if you are too busy, your pricing is probably too low,” Northcutt said.
Class instructor will be Dr. Ron Collier, president of Collier Consulting Group.
Seating is limited and early registration is recommended.
