Gregg County, TX (KETK) — Authorities shut down a portion of eastbound Interstate 20 at Highway 31 Monday morning due to a wreck involving an 18-wheeler.

The road was down to one lane for a short time while crews cleared the scene.

Officials with the Department of Public Safety tell KETK there was an injury involved, but the extent of that person's injury is not known.

The road was reopened not long after the wreck.

Crews were also working another wreck nearby at FM 2087 when the Hwy 31 wreck took place.
