It's time for "Your Turn," the place where your opinions are the news.

Our topic in this edition, a world-record, set right here in East Texas.

The old world record for the number of people tattooed in a 24-hour period was 415, what Derek Kastning did was almost double it.

Kastning inked 726 people over a single-day stretch.

A representative from the Guinness Book of World Records was there too, to make sure everything was official.

All the proceeds from the tattoos were given to the Humane Society of East Texas.

"The guinness book of world records is internationally recognized and I bet deep down there is someone out there who as a kid would love to have broken a record at some point," Debbie writes.

"Kudos to the tattoo artist who donated his talent and time to help the humane society," this person adds.

This anonymous person put:

"What Derek accomplished was an amazing feat, and as far as I know, he is the only Tylerite to hold a world record."

Sara says she was one of the 726:

"I got tatted by Derek at 1:45pm on Saturday. I'm glad he broke it and I'm glad he donated the proceeds to such a worthy cause."

Understand, the views expressed on "Your Turn" aren't always those of the KETK Newsroom or Management.
