"Your Turn" 12.3.08
Time for "Your Turn." It's a story that's tough to watch, and even more difficult to understand.
We took you to County Road 2187 Monday.
Dogs, cats, and pigs, were apparently left to fend for themselves there.
They're starving, sickly, and in need of help.
Help could be on the way. Tuesday a relative of one of the owners picked up 18 of the 20 animals. The SPCA is investigating.
This from a person, calling themselves a "Concerned Neighbor" :
"This has been going on for several years and our whole neighborhood has been trying to get something done about it all of this time. At times there has been no septic system in place. I hope this attention will get something done."
"You have to have no heart, no soul, no feelings what so ever to do this to an animal," Meryl adds. "My dog is my family."
One of the two animals left behind was a pit-bull, in very bad shape.
PW says: "Please quit showing the picture of the pit bull, that I'm sure is dead by now. It is absolutely killing me. How pitiful. Why did "no one" feed him. They took all the others and left him, without food, chained up."
Understand, the views expressed on "Your Turn" aren't always those of the KETK newsroom or management.

I am sad to say that I knew these people. I remember talking with them and seeing them a few years back. They had several animals then as well. The pit bull was around then and was not taken very well care of at all. The people had several children running around in filth. The children played in piles of wood and rusty nails while there drug addicted parents sat back and did nothing. Just walking by that place you could smell all of the animal feces that lie all over the yard. People constantly coming and going at all hours as though drugs were being dealt. At one point I remember seeing a young girl with an older gentleman as well acting as though they were dating. These people had been reported for several things and nothing was ever done about it. I find that completely wrong.

11 months agoI watched all 3 videos on this. How can anyone say nothing was criminal was done? Neglect? Abandonment? Or how about animal abuse? This is wrong and something should have been done. Just by looking at the place and the animals it looks like the place was not taken care of and the animals taken care of even less. How can people do this to poor animals and get away with it? I thought there was laws made for protecting animals from this kind of abuse.

11 months agoThe thing here is the Previous Owners didn't think there would be families willing to take them animals for free and possibly give them to their family members for early Christmas Presents but since they left they need to be in Jail for sometime,
