TYLER — The Tyler Youth Orchestra teamed up with Tyler-based rock band "Take 2" for a concert that gave East Texans a rocking new experience.

Tyler Youth Orchestra director Ryan Ross tells KETK, the Youth Orchestra is meant to give kids a chance to play music outside of the school environment.

Ages start around middle school age all the way up to 21.

Tyler classic rock cover band "Take 2" has been toying with the idea of playing a show with the Youth Orchestra for years.

Ross tells KETK, this is the year they decided to finally make it happen - and to their knowledge it's never been done before.

Tonight's show was at 8 at Wise Auditorium on the TJC campus
