JACKSONVILLE, TEXAS (KETK) — The Yum Yum's Catering and Bakery in Jacksonville will be cleaned up.
In April, the building burned down and there has been controversy about who will clean up the mess, the land owner Robert Lange, the note holder Emily Griffin or the city.
The community calls it an 'eye sore' and 'public nuisance'.
City Manager of Jacksonville, Mo Raissi tells KETK, in the last week a Jacksonville attorney Eldridge Moak is representing an anonymous group who is offering to clean-up the property and these East Texans want to remain anonymous.
Raissi says the offer was approved and received authorization from the land owner.
The estimated cost to clean-up the property is about $70,000.
As you can see in the video, months after the fire the building is full of debris.
Raissi says, he thankful for the coming coming together to clean-up the property using their own money instead of tax dollars from the city.
