I suppose this ruling if just fine for those that live in ivory towers protected by armed guards. Let them live out here with the rest of society and we will see if the ruling doesnt't change. Like that will ever happen. The only people I know that would like the ruling are those that haven't had crimes committed against them. Gives you a whole new perspective when you become a victim.
