I remember back in the early 90's during the arguement for the state lottery. We were told we need a lottery or we'll need an income tax. Well, the lottery passed and the first thing the next legislation brought up was the need for a state income tax. If we didn't demand so much of our governments and didn't have so many bureaucrats whos only job was to look busy pushing paper, we wouldn't need so many taxes.
