BUT if you are a DEMOCRAT in CONGRESS like CHARLIE RANGEL, and fail to report income on a condo in another country for 17 years and fail to pay taxes on that income for 17 years, IRS and CONGRESS do not care and you get a pass - if any of the average folks did that for just 1 year, they would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law - but not good ol' CHARLIE - like the movie folks who trash hotel rooms or use drugs or steal (linsey lohan, charlie sheen, etc) they are petted and pampered
