Once again the rumor is wrong. Thomas Burns was fired from his previous department for insubordnation when he was a CID luitenant. Burns was fired from Smith County after the administration heard he was banging on duty, placed a GPS tracker on his patrol truck and followed him around. He was then fired after confronting the admin for doing this and then continued to get the extra woman attention while being paid to be on duty. I mean come one would you think that Burns knew anything about Lindsey when most of the stuff written about Lindsey in the jail happened BEFORE he even started with the county? Nice try though.
