With 5% voter turn-out and in a hush-hush atmosphere, our county commissioners passed a new tax on the citizens of Smith county. Early voting was limited to one polling site downtown and pre-election notification by the media was kept to a minimum. Is this how you tax us Smith county, with 5% of the voting public? Shame on you again!
