I agree that our society has slipped so that celebrities are carried way to high for their true value. If the govenor of New Jersy wants to fly the state flag at half staff that's his business, the American Flag is yet a different business all together. Ms. Houston was an attractive woman, she had a very beautiful voice, but hero - NO, worth great praises - NO. Recognizing her for her musical accomplishments, but anything can be overdone. Just like the coverage of her funeral.
