I decry the idea that animals are equal to humans which so many animal lovers have tried to convince us is the case. Until every animal owner takes responsibility to control the reproductive capabilities of those they own, we will continue to need facilities to euthanize, kill, destroy (whatever term you like) the unwanted animals that result. It can be whatever entity we decide has the authority and responsibility.
