Can everyone say "political correctness"? I believe in our students learning a second language, but Arabic? Really? Large cities like New York, Detroit, etc. are melting pots of first generation immigrants. So why now just Arabic? Admittedly, it may have been handy in my grade school. First generation Arabs made up the second largest ethinic group. Here in Texas, it needs to be the Mexican dialect of Spanish.
