A full tank of CNG will vent up and away in about 15 seconds if the tank is ruptured... the pressure is SO HIGH, that if the safety valve releases, the high pressure will actually blow out any fire in the area!.. The fuel can only burn in 7-15% range of fuel to air ratio... making it the safest vehicle fuel on the planet!. even if there is a fire, its just a big POOF and the fire is gone.... but there is NO record ANYWHERE of a TANK actually exploding, more facts at CNGPUMP . com
