Now why wouldn't a hospital want to discharge a patient well on the way to recovery, so much so that they don't need to be re-admitted? If a hospital isn't governed by the bare minimum an insurance company pays for a hospital stay and can do what they do best, heal patients, then re-admissions would be way down...this is a no-brainer...hospital administrators need to come down hard on insurance companies who call the shots and do what they're supposed to do...treat patients until they're well!
