Texas has an obligation to defend it's citizens and one of those ways is through secession. I think as an independent sovereign nation we could be so much better off. The federal government through both the Republicans and the Democrats has grown too large and too oppressive. I do not feel like a free man and I don't want my children to have to live like that. Secession can and should be done peacefully. It's up to the federal government to respond accordingly.
