Yes, It is rutting season! Buck deer are loaded with hormones right now, and will fight. They don't much care what, a person, your dog, a bush ot tree boughs, or another buck, it's all about breeding rights, and YES, deer fight dirty, and can cut you with their hooves or core you with their horns. YOU SEE, BAMBY isn't a sweet cuddly loveable critter. I have watched DOE'S in my orchard get into fights over the apples and they use their front feet like thaey are swords. NEVER trust a wild animal!
