Before ANY state passes any open carry laws, the NRA has to change THEIR RULES about open carry at their own gun shows/events.
The NRA refuses to allow loaded weapons at their shows/sales/conventions, where gun experts and experienced gun afficiados gather. Why? If guns aren't safe in the hands of licensed experts, why then in our schools or work places?
What is good for the goose should be good for the gander....unless the goose is not being truthful.
