Sprinter Gay returns from hip injury

Wednesday, June 6, 2012 - 11:11am
U.S. Sprinter Tyson Gay will run this weekend in the New York Adidas Grand Prix.
Gay looks to overcome his nagging hip injury, which has kept him out of a race for more than a year. This will be his only race before the Olympic trials, less than three weeks away.
Gay holds the American record in the 100-meter dash, clocking a blistering 9.69 in 2009; however, with his current injury, Gay is simply looking to qualify for the London Games.
The Olympic trials begin June 21st in Eugene, Oregon.
