JACKSONVILLE-East Texas U.S. Congressman Jeb Hensarling spoke out Tuesday about the 300 pages that were missing from the controversial climate change and energy bill.
Hensarling told us he thinks its embarrasing that the Democratic majority would present a 350-page amendment at 3:00 a.m. that no one had a chance to read and were expected to vote on it that very same day.
He said that in this economy we don't need a national energy tax. He said all it will do is cap the American dream and will trade American jobs overseas.
"All we know about what's in there is a huge, new national energy tax that's going to cost families in East Texas anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 a year," Hensarling said.
The congressman said he will continue to fight this bill.
The bill has yet to be voted on by the senate.
