Longview — With a bindi on their foreheads and a scarf on their hips, five women shimmied their way to fitness, ending an eight-week belly dancing class offered by Longview’s Parks and Recreation Department.
“You can turn the music on and shimmy and burn 350 calories,” said instructor Debbie “Eraday” Anderson. “So you’re burning calories, using muscles you don’t normally use and you’re toning the body — it’s just all around 100 percent healthy.”
