Longview, TX (Longview News-Journal) — A Longview man was arrested Wednesday when police said he tried to meet a person he thought was 14 to have sex.
Russell Glen West, 54, of Longview was arrested at 5 p.m. Wednesday by Longview police and charged with online solicitation of a minor after a month long conversation with an undercover law enforcement agent, according to police spokeswoman Deborah Stiles.
West believed the law enforcement agent was a 14-year-old child, according to the probable cause affidavit for his arrest.
