Longview, TX (KETK) — The Longview Police Department is hosting a free child identification program on Tuesday, April 9, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Longview Mall
This event offers Longview-area residents to have their kids fingerprinted, voice recorded and photos taken. All information will be saved onto a CD and given back to parents for safekeeping.
One of the most important tools for law enforcement to use in the recovery of missing children is an up-to-date, good quality picture with descriptive information.
According to the United State Department of Justice, on average, about 2,185 children are reported missing daily.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children recommends parents and guardians keep current child identification information on hand.
