(NBC News) — A public memorial for Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia, was held at a Baptist church in Sunnyvale, TX Thursday afternoon.
The McLellands were found shot to death in their Kaufman County home on Saturday.
Authorities have not said if their deaths are connected to the murder of the county's assistant DA Mike Hasse two months ago.
Their funerals will take place Friday in Wortham.
As Texas and the nation mourn the loss of District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Governor Rick Perry says he will leave no stone unturned in tracking down the killer.
"We are a small county, we are a close knit county, as you are aware," said Kaufman County Judge Bruce Wood. "We have a small courthouse but we work very well together and these folks are family, our courthouse family, and we love them dearly and loved the work that they did, the passion they had for the job that they were assigned to do."
The Governor offered a $100,000 reward for any information leading to the killer. This doubles the total reward to $200,000.
"It is our hope and expectation that these rewards will help convince those who may be holding information to come forward," Perry said.
