Delta County, TX (KETK) — According to the Delta County Sheriff's Department, Brian Allen Tucker and John Marlin King, the inmates who escaped from the Hopkins County Jail, have been caught in Delta County.
Thursday afternoon at 5:00 p.m., the two fugitives were apprehended at a home in Cooper, north of Hopkins County.
Deputies received a tip they were at the house and it is confirmed that the vehicle that was stolen in Sulphur Springs was taken by King and Tucker.
The stolen vehicle was found in close proximity to where they located the escapees.
After receiving the tip as to the whereabouts of King and Tucker, officers were able to locate the two in a barn behind a residence in Cooper, TX.
At this time there is not any information as to any resistance shown by the two while being taken into custody.
Sergeant Brad Cummings confirmed no one was injured during the arrest of the fugitives.
The men were wearing blue jeans and sweaters at the time they were taken into custody.
Tucker and Kind are back in the Hopkins County Jail at this time.
There was one other person taken into custody at the same time as King and Tucker.
Cummings is not aware if any charges will be pursued against the third person, but they are currently being held at the Hunt County Jail.
The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office would like to extend gratitude and appreciation to all law enforcement agencies that were involved in the apprehension of the two fugitives.
