Kilgore — The Kilgore College Rangerettes are gearing up for their annual high-kicking bonanza — Rangerette Revels — which opens Wednesday.
“I think everyone will find it very entertaining. These girls worked really, really hard on this,” said Rangerette Director Dana Blair. “It’s going to be less than two hours of full-on dancing and costumes.”
This year’s show, “The Rangerette Express,” is dedicated to Deana Bolton Covin, who took the reigns as director in 1979 after founder Gussie Nell Davis retired.
Covin spent 14 years directing the ’Rettes and their world-famous performances.
